There are multiple advantages to joining sales enablement LinkedIn groups. For one, you get information straight from the source—professionals within the industry. Second, you’re gaining information in addition to the traditional blog posts and articles format, providing a new perspective and way of thinking about sales enablement. Most importantly, you’re shifting from a passive reader to an active participant within the sales enablement industry.
There are a lot of LinkedIn sales enablement groups out there, so how do you know which ones will provide the most value for your time? We’ve got you covered. After assessing all the groups with ungated access, we’ve ranked the top 5 based on frequency of activity, quality of conversation, focus of conversation and overall value the group offers. #5. Sales Enablement Content
If your job title is more within the realm of marketing and less in sales, this LinkedIn group with 2,000+ members will likely hold some interest for you. It focuses entirely on the content side of sales enablement in the form of article shares. Although overall group interaction is limited, this choice can be good if you’re looking to make a big splash in a small pond.
#4. Sales Enablement Gurus
This group offers a lot of great articles with interesting topics. At 2,500+ members, it’s clear that the group is valued by many people as a way to expand their sales enablement horizons. There is a lack of discussion outside of article shares, but the group does have a flow of new shares on a regular basis. There are other groups with more active engagement in discussion, but it’s worth a look to see if it’s a good fit for you.
#3. Sales+Marketing Collaboration Community
While not specifically a group targeted toward sales enablement, the content and discussions you’ll find within the group will be useful to sales enablement professionals, especially those whose jobs focus primarily on sales and marketing alignment. The group is strictly moderated, so you won’t have to sift through blatant company promotions. One drawback is that of the 3,000+ members, the conversation and interaction are fairly limited, but that’s more opportunity for you to make an impact with your involvement!
#2. Sales Enablement Leader Exchange
There is some really good insight to be found in this group, and it can be useful if you are looking for a way to filter all of the articles and blog posts being thrown your way down to a few to actually read. There isn’t much filtering to avoid company promotion posts and involvement is often dominated by a few individuals out of the 5,000+ members. This group is the top choice if you’re looking more for company posts and less for discussion.
#1. Sales Training & Sales Enablement Pro’s
This is the largest open sales enablement group (more than 18,000 members), and it’s easy to see why. Here, you’ll find a wide pool of members to converse with, and the group limits interaction ONLY to discussions, no content sharing. The conversations aren’t dominated by a few individuals, so you’re getting a diverse range of opinions and perspectives. The group offers more of an emphasis on the sales training cycle than the other groups in this list, so if that’s something that you value, definitely make this group a top priority. Overall, this LinkedIn group was the clear winner, and we encourage you to check it out and see for yourself what insight you can glean and offer to others.
